Chance the French (The US exists because of us)
Hi,
I'm currently finishing a global studies (political science and international relations) B.A at UCSB and since I want to go to law school I'd like to know if anyone has information about international students acceptance rates.
I'm from France, I have a 3.8 GPA so far but no LSAT score yet (I know it makes it impossible to concretely chance me). But I'd still like to know if with this GPA and a correct LSAT score (btw 155-165) does it give me an advantage compared to an American with the exact same scores, since English isn't my first language, or does it put me in the same boat as everyone else in term of admissions (to get to schools like Arizona State, U of Florida, Stetson, Texas Austin and U of Houston)
Hope this is readable, thanks in advance

Come back when you have an actual LSAT score. A range of 155-165 is huge.jobegood wrote:Hi,

I'm not really sure what you're asking. Maybe you could get a friend to proofread this?

Do you want to return to France to practice law ? If so, limit your applications to LSU, McGill, Ottawa &, possibly, Tulane for their civil law curriculums.

"180" as in "the opposite" or as in "perfect LSAT score" ?
P.S. Based on the thread title, OP is a perfect match for McGill.

If you get a correct LSAT score you should be T14 bound fo sho.
If you want HYS your personal statement should discuss this event in detail:
"Secretly approached by Louis XVI and France's foreign minister, the comte de Vergennes, Pierre Beaumarchais was given authorization to sell gunpowder and ammunition to the Americans for close to a million pounds under the veil of the Portuguese company Rodrigue Hortalez et Compagnie."

That's the one. And OP, we really can't give you a good answer on what your chances are. Just focus on the LSAT since that's the part you can control.CanadianWolf wrote:"180" as in "the opposite" or as in "perfect LSAT score" ?![]()

Ca depende. C difficile de changer entre les deux, mais si tu vas en france et parles francais toute la journee, ton francais retournera sans espagnol.ChikaBoom wrote:Il y a beaucoup de temps que j'ai pas parle en francais. Re: Chance the French (The US exists because of us)
I haven't laughed that hard since a long time
To start with all of your addresses about my grammar and vocabulary, I think that my English is excellent, in fact it allowed me to shine in class (plus I can't tell you how easily I get girls with my accent on campus).
I understand that my question my not be answerable since I have no concrete results but I just wanted to know if my status as a foreigner gave me leverage over admission compared to an American with this exact same scores than me.
I understand if you hate the french, they do steal all the women at parties ...
