177/3.76

Chemistry and History double major, philosophy minor.
Three years of science research and internship experience over the summer. Is my GPA too low for Harvard? Will schools also take into account my grades for next semester that won't come out until December?

Decent shot at H, unlikely at Y/S unless your research helped cure cancer or something.

I had almost identical numbers (3.75/177).

In at H.
WL at Y.
Dinged at S.

In at H from the WL.
WL at Y.
Dinged at S.
It depends on how he does it. Cerealdan were you an intl? If so, that rarely helps. If not, I don't know why you were on the WL at H.

Friend had similar numbers to OP and swept HYS. He didn't do anything amazing either. I think what helped my friend was that he was also a chem major and made sure to explain why he is pursuing law. In fact, I think OP has a better background than my friend. OP just make sure to have good letters and a coherent PS as to why you want to pursue law.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Another thing I was wondering about is the age factor... Does being really young affect the application in any way? How much would age affect the perception of your maturity level?

you're fine. Obviously having work exp is good, but theres no bias for being young as long as you dont write a personal statement that starts off, "having just gotten my driver's license yesterday..."

I was not international, but I think WL is not at all unusual at these #s. Being under 3.8 puts you on the borderline for all of HYS even with a high LSAT. Your friend sweeping all three is pretty impressive--definitely more than most people with under 3.8 can expect.
