Chances?
I just took the June LSAT and as with most people on TLS, dont think I did well enough for my goal schools. I am a 3.31, with an opportunity to bring it up to a 3.42, non-URM with average softs, great LORs, better than average PS, and will be submitting why X? letters to supplement my apps. With my GPA as such what score would I need with an ED to get into UVA, NU, NYU, Penn, and GU? I will be doing an EA to UT.
Edit: don't say LSN or LSP. with my split I don't really trust it.

Re: Chances?
have you done a retake? I feel I can achieve a 170-174. I contribute this to nerves. I was so damn nervous this time that I think it may have hurt my score.polkij333 wrote:170-173

Re: Chances?
Depends on the school. NU is probably not going to happen for you ED if they continue their ED policy from this year. You'd have a good chance at it with a 172+ assuming you have work experience. I think for UVA and UPenn ED you should break 170 and for NYU you'll probably need at least a 173. I got NYU with a 3.3 and a 173, but I had some NYU-specific softs.
I'd focus first of all on bringing up your GPA as much as possible. The difference between a 3.3 and a 3.4 is pretty significant.

My GPA will be up after the deadline for the ED apps. Is it possible to send them the transcripts as soon as they come out in dec? I want my fall semester to factor in I dont know how to go about this process to stop a straight away ding.hdsoc wrote:Depends on the school. Re: Chances?
Anything below a 170 is an auto waitlist or deny from those (w your gpa)
Applying early and updating your transcripts in Dec is the way to go. You risk getting a decision before you submit your fall grades but it's still better than the alternative. (sending in apps in late December is pushing it. It'll be over Xmas break so your app prob won't be seen until January)
Edit: if you get a 170, I'd ED UVA really early in the fall. You'll know in 2 weeks and you aren't looking at T14 money anyway so it's not really a loss

I was banned for some reason so I couldnt post for a couple of days.... Is there anything that I can include in my apps that would ensure I dont get a decision before I submit my fall grades?TMC116 wrote:Anything below a 170 is an auto waitlist or deny from those (w your gpa)
