What LSAT score do I need?

Post by sac12 » Wed May 30, 2012 12:43 am

I am a current NYU student with 3.68 GPA. What LSAT score should I shoot for in order to have a strong chance at NYC or Washington, DC schools? I'm hoping to go into international law.

Depends on what NYC and DC schools you're talking about. Schools like Columbia,NYU, Georgetown will require a 170+. While schools of a lesser rank will require a lesser LSAT score. Refer yourself to the rankings on this site and look at the LSAT medians.

And yes, always shoot for a 180...although obvious.

Assuming you mean CLS and NYU by NYC schools and GULC by DC schools. Go to their websites and see where your GPA is in terms of their 25th, 50th, and 75th percentiles. Aim for an LSAT that is, at minimum, above their median and preferably above their 75th percentile.

Of course you could go to LSN, or almost every other "What are my chances?" thread to figure this out.

Median or above LSAT at wherever in the T18 should give OP a decent shot. At schools where OPs GPA is median or above, scoring median or better will give them a great shot.
