What would you do?
3.76 GPA (in my last quarter at UCLA and this can be raised)
161 LSAT (only taken once in December)
Admitted to:
Oregon Law
Loyola Law School (LMU)
USD (with 61K $$$)
Waitlisted:
Boulder
Davis
Waiting to hear back from:
USC
Honestly, I think I may just retake/take a year off from school and work.
I think the biggest reason I got $$$ from USD was because I'm a native San Diegan...
However I don't want to jump on that school is because of how regional it is and the fact that it's not a full ride.
So my question: What would you do? I'd love to get in at USC, but since I haven't been waitlisted yet, I really doubt that I'll be getting in. I'd love to visit Boulder, so maybe I should do that, but once again, kind of a regional school no?
I guess what troubles me is that A) i'm not sure what type of law I want to practice B) not sure where I want to practice C) my LSAT score blows.
again... what would you do?

Re: What would you do?
realistically, I'd be looking to bump my score up between 3-6 points tops. RC is a killer for me like, -5 to -8 often times, LR i was missing 2-5 each section, and LG... like 4-6

Sounds like an aggressive studying regimen is in your future. Go -5 on RC, -4 total on LR, and -0 on games (which I'm sure you can do with practice) and you are in the 170s. Good luck!before2day wrote:realistically, I'd be looking to bump my score up between 3-6 points tops. By the way, I'm also a native San Diegan who nearly attended USD last year before retaking, so I'm pulling for you.

Not sure if serious.angrybird wrote:reportedbk187 wrote:Retake/reapply.
OP, I would kill for your gpa. Retaking the LSAT is a no brainer. Your opportunities increase exponentially with every additional point. Scoring as well as you did means you understand the material. Now it's up to you to perfect your skill and accuracy. Good luck.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has replied.
Also, what type of addenda have people written to explain score discrepancies? For those of you who may have found yourselves in my position

No addendum here, since I just studied more the second time.
