3.77/157 Is it time to retake? Forum

I just got my score back yesterday and I'm a little disappointed. My range in practice tests was between 157 and 163, it just sort of sucks to hit the bottom of that. I won't be applying until the 2012-13 cycle and I'm still in undergrad. I should be able to bring my GPA up to a low 3.8 after the spring and summer semesters end. Should I just go ahead and retake in June? The schools I'm looking at and their Law School Predictor estimates are below.

Minnesota: Weak Consider
Boston University: Deny
Boston College: Deny
William and Mary: Weak Consider
North Carolina: Consider
Fordham: Deny
Washington & Lee: Weak Consider
Georgia (I'm a resident of Georgia): Weak Consider
Maryland: Consider

Yes, absolutely retake and with your GPA you ought to seek to score well enough that you won't need to apply to any of those schools you listed. My unsolicited extra advice would also be to take some time after Undergrad to do things besides Law School.

A 163 requires missing 20 or more questions. Why settle for that?

Realistically you have 3 test options left before the next cycle is completely out (June, October and December). Aim for June, but honestly there's no reason you can't hit 170s, so if you're not in that range, don't take it and wait for october and you can still apply for 2012-2013 cycle. There's really no reason not to take that extra time to master this test.
