What are my chances at my T50 and should I apply to anymore?
Ohio State - Accepted
Boston U - in review
Boston College - in review
William & Mary - in review
Wake Forest - in review
Maryland - in review
Washington & Lee - Waitlisted
American - Waitlisted
George Mason - dinged
George Washington - dinged
My #'s are good. I have a 160 LSAT, 3.51 LSDAS GPA (UG gpa is 3.71, I have an addendum). Pretty good softs, good LORs, good resume, etc. I am straight out of undergrad and in Maryland non URM. I've gotten admitted to a bunch of other schools lower than the T50 but my focus so far is on these.
my top choices from the remaining schools are Maryland, WF, and William & Mary. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

BU and BC you are out at. William and Mary most likely out as well, maybe WL. You should have pretty good chances at WF and Maryland (though I don't know this late in the cycle).

I would not count William and Mary completely out. One of my friends got in there with similar numbers as you, but he did apply earlier in the cycle. But anyway Good Luck!

I would retake. You are below both the gpa and lsat medians for most of those schools worth a damn.

I had similar numbers in my cycle (160/3.7) and applied to a number of these schools. Here are my predictions for you:yg13 wrote:Ohio State - Accepted

American: Waitlist is huge, but I got off in April. Offered to start PT with a half year switch to FT. I'd say you have a 50/50 shot.
Maryland: I got priority wait listed at Maryland and was offered a spot in July. They say those on the PWL almost always get a spot. Unless you are a Maryland resident, which I can't tell if you are or just are there currently, I imagine you'll be on this list.
W&L and W&M: Highly unlikely. Sat on W&M's massive wait list until August before I got dinged. Don't count on either.
Wake: Again, Highly unlikely, unless NC resident. They will probably waitlist you, but seem to only accept 160s who have 3.75+.
BU/BC: Out, no question, no waitlist.
You won't be admitted outright at any of these, unless you are an actual MD resident. If you're an MD resident, I'd say you've got a 75% chance of being admitted outright. AU, MD, and WF are probably your best chances from a WL, although I have no experience with WF's waitlsit process. Like I said, I got off the American WL with slightly better numbers, but it wasn't until April, and I got off the MD priority waitlist, but not until July. Also, I know people from my UG with my numbers who didn't get off AU's WL, so its a crap shoot. Good luck.
Also, what are you TT options? I assume you've been offered $$.
Edit: Didn't see the "should I apply to anymore" question. To that, I say no. Unless you have ties to any of the midwest T50s (Iowa, Wisconsin) you're done. Those would be reaches even with residency, and this late in the cycle it probably isn't worth the $80. Provide some more info about what/where you want to practice for better advice.

If you are a Maryland resident, you probably have a somewhat better shot. I'd say retake, see what happens next cycle. If not, of the options that seem viable currently, I's say UMD is the best. If you get in, take it, perhaps over W&M at sticker.

I am not of the retake school most of the time, but you have retake written all over you. What's the rush? I would do some sick things to have your GPA. Be patient. It will be worth it.yg13 wrote:160 LSAT, 3.51 LSDAS GPA...etc. I am straight out of undergrad and in Maryland non URM.
You need to go get a job and try to get your score up to the 170s. Work experience will help you after law school.
