I graduated from college in US in 2011, and got 169 on Dec LSAT. I cancelled my test score once so my stat is cancel/169. I used to get 172~175 in prep tests, but I panicked at test date and guessed like 6 questions. I have okay soft, nothing reaaaallly special. Not really a URM, at least not URM enough... I think I can do better if I take a test once again, but June test means next cycle+3rd test. I have terrible Freshman, Sophomore GPA and good GPA in later years,,,, My final GPA is 3.0

I am currently applying (super late. Like Feb. late) to T6~30ish schools, GULC ED. Don’t think I have a great shot in many schools, but don’t feel like attending any school below 30....

So, hypothetically, if I get into 25~30 ish school (which I am not super thrilled), should I take June test and apply super early once again? Or take June test anyway to see if get wait listed? What is my chance for schools in T30 rank? I am willing (maybe) to take one more test, and I think I can do 172+ but I do not know if it is worth waiting.

Even a single point on the LSAT would be huge for you. Take a year off, retake, improve your application, and you will have a shot at GULC, UVa, and maybe NU with work experience. If you need some motivation look at the employment stats for GULC/UVa and 25-30 schools.

WUSTL will probably take you and throw $$ at you still. I disagree about 1 more pt doing wonders for you. I think 171 is now the magic # for NU and GULC.

What is the harm in applying now and retaking in June? If you do go up to a 172 and want to wait and reapply, you'll just be out your seat deposits. If you end up being capped at that 169, you'll have saved a year.

you'll probably get WashU with $ but i also dont think 1 point on the LSAT will do much with a 3.0 gpa maybe you could snag UVA or Cornell but if you don't want NYC biglaw cornell probably isnt a good option...if you ahve something beneficial( IE something you could get paid to do over the next year) i would prob sit out just to re take and see if you could go up more than a point and if you maxed out at 169 then at least youll get your apps in early next year and maximize scholly money

172+ makes you competitive for UVA ED if you do it the day they start accepting applications. Even if you do though, there is a very real chance you end up having Wash U with like 84k be your best option next cycle. See profile for details.
