3.66 179 TFA ARNG
I am looking to apply next cycle and I was wondering what my chances are like for T14 with my numbers, Teach for America, and National Guard experience. Thank you in advance for any input.

You'll only need to apply to the T14 and you should have a chance at $ from some. You should get most of the t14, assuming there are no serious red flags in other parts of your application. HYS is less likely.

Obviously your TFA and National Guard experience will be beneficial (I can't really comment on how beneficial though). You have solid/great shots all around the T14. Congrats on the great LSAT score; good luck with your cycle next year.

TFA won't be as helpful as the military service will be, but with your numbers you don't need that much help to begin with. I think T6 secure fo sho.

Eh. Historically S prefers the higher GPA to the higher LSAT, URMs excluded. I would actually think H would bite more easily. The large class size allows for them to take some outliers if they're compelling enough as applicants.JamMasterJ wrote:T6 easily. Apply to HYS for lulz and b/c they may become intrgued. S is also more soft observant than H. She doesn't have H's minimum gpa, but the interesting softs can help ppl get into S even without the ridiculous gpa standards. Off the top of my head, I know of a military vet with a similar LSAT and a 3.6 that got S for this reason.Doorkeeper wrote:Eh. Historically S prefers the higher GPA to the higher LSAT, URMs excluded. Fair. Looking through LSN both S and H have taken students with 175+ and 3.6 before, so I guess it's a toss-up for OP.JamMasterJ wrote:S is also more soft observant than H. yeah, and I feel like his/her softs are more valued at Stanford, and thus would carry more weight in overcoming the gpaDoorkeeper wrote:Fair. Four people in my corps got H with 171+ (the two that had 171s got in off the waitlist at H but they got $$ everywhere else, including CCN). I'm not sure what their GPAs were, but apply early and you've got a great shot.

What everyone else is saying. T-6, 7-14 with $$ to $$$$ and maybe even some $$$$ at CCN if you get one of the named scholarships. Good luck!
