Re: 3.3x/174
I applied almost immediately after receiving my Dec 2011 LSAT scores on the 6th of January. I have my heart set on practicing in Texas, Austin specifically.Adm.Doppleganger wrote:Sorry if this a bit off topic because I don't know much to nothing about UT but assuming you applied recently, there's always next cycle and it may be worth EDing to MVP if you're down.

Have you checked lawschoolnumbers? If you were a Texas resident, you would have had a decent chance of getting in. You are very likely to get waitlisted or rejected. Your numbers make the bottom t14 a possibility. You can go to one of them and bid on Texas firms come OCI. (Not so sure why you're so hung up on UT Austin when you're not even a resident...)

I have no idea what your chances are. While it seems like they have a hard gpa floor of 3.3, it also looks like they have a soft floor of about 3.5, based on LSN graphs. They also seem a bit more random than their peer schools.Largo219 wrote:What are my chances at UT-Austin?

-Out of State
-Wrote a "Why Texas" essay
-Non URM
-No WE
I got in with 3.5x/171, so who knows.

Chances are low as they have a 3.5 GPA floor, especially for out-of-state. This chart might be helpful to you: http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 2&t=162680
