3.8 GPA/163 LSAT at top 30 schools
I was shooting for a higher LSAT score, didn't get it, and won't have an opportunity to retake it or wait a year.
My only soft is that I'm a nationally ranked debater (top 5) and some work experience, but nothing really special.
I'm interested in what my chances are at places that are reaches for my LSAT score.
Mainly,
Georgetown (I applied ED)
Michigan
Penn
Virginia
Berkeley
Texas (Texas Resident)
USC
UCLA
Notre Dame
George Washington
Emory
U of Washington (Washington Resident also)
I got fee waivers at USC and Emory..don't know if that means anything..
I have a list of schools that are in my LSAT range also just curious about these..

This late in the game, that 163 is really going to hamper your chances at a T14. I would suggest waiting a year and retaking the LSAT for a 167-170, which will place you in contention for some of the T14s, if it's possible for you.
Georgetown (I applied ED)- Reject, maybe WL
Michigan- Reject
Penn- Reject
Virginia- Reject
Berkeley- Reject
Texas (Texas Resident)- WL, maybe Accept
USC- WL, maybe Accept
UCLA- WL, maybe Accept
Notre Dame- Accept, maybe WL
George Washington- Accept
Emory- Accept
U of Washington (Washington Resident also)- Accept

Agree with most of the above, though I think USC would be an accept. Georgetown does weird things, so honestly that could go either way.
Side note: I'm also both a TX and WA resident

If it helps at all, I'm a 161/3.84 non-URM Hispanic and got Admitted to GW, Waitlisted at UVA and Notre Dame, Denied at Berkeley, and currently on hold at Penn. Waiting to hear back on Georgetown. Good luck.

I'm spoiled and my parents are paying for law school, can't really imagine finding a way to pay on it own/over 100k in debt doesn't sound appealing. Their ultimatum is that I HAVE to get it done in three years because my sister starts college right after I'd be done with L3.Tiago Splitter wrote:Huh?censored311 wrote:I won't have an opportunity to retake it or wait a year.
I've explained all of the differences that it'd make in terms of career prospects by going to a T14, but they aren't exactly the most rational bunch..

What if you asked them to pay just the first two years and you'd take out loans for the last year?
