graduating with masters (the above is the undergraduate gpa) in math/stats from one of the top 5 private schools
solid softs - published paper, did non-profit, various club activities, etc
college first generation and low income
BUT NO AMERICAN GREEN CARD
Any chances in Harvard/Yale/Stanford? how does the fact that I do not have a green card affect my chances?
Any chances in Columbia Hamilton scholarship? I have time to take more lsats. Should I try again?

In terms of admissions, if you attended undergrad in the US, then it does not matter that you are an international student (meaning, you will be in the same pool). However, getting loans for tuition is different since you will need a co-signer or a school that offers loans to international students directly without any co-signers.iwannabehero wrote:4.0/172

Take a look at lawschoolnumbers.com
My impressions from browsing LSN is that non-URMs need to have a 175+ and above median GPA to have a good shot at the Hamilton. I like your chances at at least one of HYS, though.

I have the same numbers, you can check out my profile and LSN for how my cycle has gone, but you should be in pretty good shape, although if you're intending to apply this cycle you may have a bit of a disadvantage since it's so late, if you apply early next cycle you should have a good shot. However, as soj mentioned, I think the Hamilton tends to like higher LSATs.

Yeah I agree with above poster, not much of a chance for a Hamilton but probably around 50% chance at both H and Stanford (maybe more now since there seems to be a higher emphasis on strong GPAs recently for H)... So statistically speaking you have a good shot at one of HYS lol
