Columbia? An option?
I keep looking at law school numbers and seeing that some URM's under 160 have been accepted or wait-listed to Columbia. With a 156/4.0 and great soft factors, do you think I have a shot?

I absolutely think you have a shot, but maybe not an outstanding one because of the lower LSAT. You'll get into a T14 though. Good luck!

156? Why would you not study harder and retake?calypso4 wrote:I keep looking at law school numbers and seeing that some URM's under 160 have been accepted or wait-listed to Columbia. With a 156/4.0 and great soft factors, do you think I have a shot?

Almost certainly not. I don't see it on your profile either, so if you're considering applying this late in the cycle, I'd change my answer to definitely not.
Retake, get into HYS, prosper.

I dont know if I believe this profile (Im thinking its a fake) or the person would have probably explained why they were such an outlier. It would take a lot for those scores to get in, I mean HYS do have to worry about the person being able to do well once they get in.InGoodFaith wrote:Almost certainly not. That profile was the only sub 160 to get in to Columbia in the past three cycles, so... yeeeah.

I just dont see sub 160 making the cut. You usually dont see that for any T14 (usually)
