Late app, 2.67 Michigan Ross, 159 Dec LSAT
Hey guys...looking for a little advice here.
I'm applying to schools in the next couple weeks and was wondering what you think would be good fits given my numbers:
2.67 UMich, Ross Business '11, Doctor and advisor notes detailing significant medical problem during undergrad.
159 LSAT
Average LORs, Above average ECs...started two small businesses, licensed Realtor, ran for public office, etc.
I had the following schools in mind:
-Miami
-South Carolina
-Tennessee
-DePaul
-Loyola Chicago
-UNLV
-San Diego
-Hawaii
-Oregon
What can you guys tell me about the admissions at these schools and do you have any other schools you'd recommend? What would be the highest I could reach given my numbers, softs, and circumstances?

If you're not a resident of Nevada it's going to be really tough to get into UNLV

I applied last cycle to UNLV at veryyy late (after the deadline) with an unserious application and a 156. I was waitlisted and denied at the start of classes. Any idea how their waitlist works?

You can't really get into a school worth going to with those numbers, considering the economy. Retake or don't go.

With your GPA this is especially true. I was able to secure a spot at UNLV last cycle but they (admissions) do want to make sure that you have specific reasons for attending their school. They'll call and ask you straight up lol.asoli wrote:If you're not a resident of Nevada it's going to be really tough to get into UNLV

Unfortunately, yes. You need to score higher to overcome that GPA. Many people retake and couldn't be happier they did.
