Bama/LSU law
I have a 167 LSAT and 3.6 GPA in Economics with a minor in French and will have my LOR's sent in by the end of January. What do y'all think my chances are?

Ha, run trent run. Kind of ironic that I really want to do LSU law...the only thing stopping me would be a couple of Student Non-Academic Misconducts I got in my first two years.

Re: Bama/LSU law
You have a good shot at both places and your misconducts shouldn't be an issue. You are applying kind of late, though.
If you want to practice in the South, you're probably good for a significant scholly to Emory if interested.

Thanks for the reply; I've actually got a friend who just finished his first semester at Emory and Atlanta sounds really fun. Do you think schollys are already out of the question for the other two thought?

Not at all. You'll get significant money, if not full rides at both 'Bama and LSU.Bama11Braves wrote:Thanks for the reply; I've actually got a friend who just finished his first semester at Emory and Atlanta sounds really fun. I just mentioned Emory since you'll most likely get over a year's full tuition off and it's a higher ranked school for working in the South. I got 42K total with a 3.3 and your same LSAT score. If you're set on staying in Bama or LA, you probably can't go wrong with a full ride to either 'Bama or LSU. Good luck!

@ law4vus- Thanks for the input. I ended up talking to my buddy at Emory and decided to put it on my list.
@ rebexness- I did look at Tulane but I don't think I could concentrate with New Orleans all around me. Plus money is a bit of an issue and Tulane is pretty pricey.

If s/he wants to stay in Bama, s/he couldn't go wrong with a full scholarship to Bama, but s/he will not get a full scholarship to Bama.law4vus wrote:Not at all. Yeah, you're right. I wasn't as familiar with Alabama's numbers. If in-state, though, that's the way to go.Real Madrid wrote:If s/he wants to stay in Bama, s/he couldn't go wrong with a full scholarship to Bama, but s/he will not get a full scholarship to Bama.law4vus wrote:Not at all. I am indeed in state, but if LSU can give me enough $ to balance out the in state advantage, I will probably go there. Plus, I'm so sick and tired of Tuscaloosa...
