Hey all,
173 LSAT, 3.95 GPA (4.02 LSDAS GPA)
University of Michigan - Political Science. Minor in Chinese Studies
Asian American Female (not really mentioning the Asian American part)
Graduating in 3 years instead of 4; consequently wayyy young
No national accolades But two scholarships, multiple academic awards from UMich
I'm applying to Yale, Harvard, Columbia, Chicago, Michigan, Penn, Duke, Virginia, Notre Dame, and William and Mary
My applications are being sent in a little later than I would like, but I already have the Priority Track deal with Duke where they tell me the decision 10 days after the app is sent in.
I also have a few extracurrics and work part-time as a student coordinator in a dining hall. Extracurrics include pre-law fraternity, some LGBT Center stuff, and Michigan Journal of Asian Studies.
So, question is: How am I looking for admissions and scholarship offers? I know I'd have a better chance if I applied earlier.

You have awesome numbers and will get into a bunch of excellent schools. I would predict 1 of Y/H/C/C (or possibly both CC and no Y/H), in everywhere else. It will take some time, though. You should qualify for $ at CC and $$$(maybe around 20-30K a year) at MVP. I don't know if the late app hurts your chances at nabbing one of their full-ride named scholarships--I have a hunch it might.
Are you dead-set on going to law school now? I know of one case where a 20-year old was offered a deferred admission to Duke, because they thought he would benefit from some prior experience. If you're in school now I would also look for a job, and see whether you're happy with how your application cycle goes. Someone with those numbers really should be able to get into Y/H/S, and if you don't the age/lack of experience may be playing a role.

If I were you I would apply now, but be willing to take the year off if the right offer doesn't come around. You should be in line for some acceptances to the T6 and some big money at the T14, so if you don't get that I highly recommend you take a year off, apply next September, and enjoy your cycle.

Take a year off. Retake and ED to UVA.
Seriously though, enjoy HYS. Friend of mine with very similar stats as yours (also Asian Am) got into H and everything below no problem
