166/3.28 @ Notre Dame, getting mail/email

Post by john1990 » Tue Dec 13, 2011 7:54 pm

Normally i would say that i have no chance at Notre Dame. In fact i would still say this
However, i have been getting mail and email from Notre Dame over the last week or so. Has anyone else been getting mail from them? I think its odd that they would market to some one who probably can't get into the school :?
Any thoughts?

Dude, I think your LSAT, in this cycle especially, will get you in. I remember their 25th GPA being a little lower - even lower than IU-Bloomington. I may be mistaken though.

Anyways, I think you've got a solid shot.

How do you have almost 500 posts and not already know that getting mail from schools means nothing? They want more people to apply whether or not those people have a chance since the more people that apply the higher their selectivity which makes them look better.

Maybe you have a shot, maybe you don't, but getting mail from them means nothing.

I'm disappointed that a school like Notre Dame would resort to spamming
But i did already know this, as i stated in my OP.

I thought it was a little strange to get a very nice christmas card from them... Did anyone else get this? I'm used to the regular mail, letter, email, but a christmas card on nice stationary? thats not cheap!

If it helps, I'm 165, a 3.57, got the christmas card, and was waitlisted.
