166/3.85 non-URM, retake in Dec. apply T10 now or wait?
I took the LSAT in Oct. and freaked out, thus the 166 (my pt range was 172-174). I took it again in Dec. and I think it went much better. Should I apply to UVA, GTown before finding out my score? Will that help my chances at all? I've already applied to multiple T25 schools (plus some safeties). Softs are okay (legal assistant for 2 summers, intern at a hospital, multiple leadership positions in undergrad, graduating with multiple honors).
I'd really like to apply this cycle, but any feedback would be MUCH appreciated!

I'd go ahead and apply. Neither would ding you with your current stats, and if you note that you retook, they will wait for your score.

Just looked at TLS Stats, lots of waitlists in that range too, so you'll be alright.

As long as they know another score is coming, go ahead and apply. I actually disagree with the above, those stats would probably be rejected at either school, but since you're expecting a nice improvement I say go ahead and apply.

i know that a 166 is useless for georgetown and uva. georgetown takes the best score, but i think uva averages them (but looks at the best)? their policy seems confusing to me and explaining that i simply got nervous at the first LSAT doesn't seem like a good explanation if the Dec LSAT went as well as i think it did.
anyways, probably going to go ahead and submit once the supplementals are done
thank you for your help!

Would applying now still give that ED boost? I know there's no deadline for ED
