MA Female 160/3.39 GPA
Mexican American female here, 3.39 GPA from top 25 school, 160 LSAT.
Took lsat three times (cancel/160/retook in December, probably did worse or the same as 160). Was averaging 170+ when studying, but when it came down to the "real thing", just couldn't seem to cut it. Thus, re-taking is not an option. Applying this month, so...
What do you think are the BEST schools I can get into with my score/gpa?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, I got a fee waiver from them, as well as Duke, UVA, Penn, a few others, but I'm not really expecting to crack the t-14 (dreams crushed here!). But I'm thinking being a URM, even with my terrible score, I can possible crack T-30?? Especially with less MA applying this year, it seems. Opinion?

I honestly think you will get into a T14, especially if your score went up by a point or two

You may want to check out as well http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com/uncchica.
As for chances I think you definitely try the t-14 especially if you got fee waivers. Have you looked in to wustl and Vanderbilt? Also some mid west schools like UMN or UIUC? You should be competitive there too.
Anyways best of luck on your cycle, my numbers are close to yours but im a guy so hopefully things go well for both of us.

Thanks tooswolle, I'm PMing you now.
Any other suggestions welcome. I'm from CA, so even though they aren't T-14/very highly ranked, I'm also considering UC Davis/UC Hastings/San Diego. Any shot at these?

yes. But the cost/benefit will likely put you somewhere else.butifuldisastr wrote:Thanks tooswolle, I'm PMing you now.

JamMasterJ:
Can you clarify what you mean by "the cost/benefit will likely put you somewhere else"
Thanks for all your input btw, it is EXTREMELY appreciated!

Re: MA Female 160/3.39 GPA
I mean that the Cali schools that you will likely get into (unless you get UCLA with money or Berkeley) will not be as good or for as good at the price (in my opinion) as the other options that will likely be on the table. For instance, my stats are 176/3.5, which is solidly T10, but I definitely won't get Berkeley or Stanford, so if getting California was important to me, I'd have to take a hit on which school I attend to pick a school in CA. It's the result of California schools's obsession with high gpas. I think the only situations where you should pick a California school is if you get a large scholarship at UCLA, and are comparing it against something similar at Vanderbilt or DNCG, or if you get Berkeley and are comparing it to M or P.
I think the result of your cycle is going to make the best decision a school outside of California

MA Female, 156, 161, 3.1 gpa
Didn't get into any T-14. Not surprised. Also rejected by my alma mater USC ;(
Got into: Loyola (scholarship), Southwestern (full ride), USD, Santa Clara, Pacific McGeorge, maybe others, can't remember this was in 2009.
WL: Pepperdine, Hastings, UC Davis, Cornell
Your gpa is slightly higher than mine, however, if you are under the 25%, I doubt it will make a difference. I could be wrong...
Ended up withdrawing everywhere. Will reapply this year after my Dec LSAT score comes in. Hoping for at least a 166.
Good luck to you.
