Chances for TX law schools?
I'm applying this cycle (fall 2012) with a 3.87 degree granting gpa and 3.65 LSAC gpa. I had a bubbling error on the Oct LSAT and scored a 156. I'm retaking but I don't feel good about it. What are my chances, as is, for law schools in TX?

Don't apply this cycle. Re-take. Or, at least take the December test and see how you do. You won't get into any TX schools worth going to

You're not getting in to UT, SMU, or UofH, so don't go until you can.

If it truly was a bubbling error, then you can do better. Retake is TCR.

180. Tech would probably let you in with those numbers, but I hear the legal market in Lubbock is pretty crappy.kalvano wrote:You're not getting in to UT, SMU, or UofH, so don't go until you can.

Rack up an extra 4 points and you'll be likely at Baylor, and 6-8 points will get you a good shot at SMU and UH. You can do it!
