Chances 162/3.55 URM
162, 3.55 (couple of college classes I took for credit in HS killed me), URM, time off with work experience, volunteer FF, other softs decent as well (published thesis, etc). I think my LORs will be very strong.
UVA - ED (by far my #1 choice)
W&L
Colorado Boulder
Richmond
W&M
Duke
George Washington
... not really sure where else to apply, if anywhere. FWIW I received fee waivers everywhere but GW.

Simply because looking at the predictors and LSN and the fact that I haven't received any mailings from GTown, I didn't think I had any shot of getting in.

Whether they contact you or not doesn't have that much bearing on your chances. You have a definite shot at GULC. I'd apply there before GW if I were you.Kimi wrote:Simply because looking at the predictors and LSN and the fact that I haven't received any mailings from GTown, I didn't think I had any shot of getting in.

Probably a chance, yeah. Are you a VA resident?Kimi wrote:Thanks. Any chance for UVA you think?
URM cycles are always hard to predict. What type of URM are you?

Last year, GW rejected me with a 162 but GULC accepted me.

Let me know how the ED to UVA goes. Im curious to see what happens URM since you are so far below both medians.
Has anyone heard of this happening?
What URM are you?

NA, but no tribal affiliation (can't get it once you've married outside of the tribe 2x in Canada). Yes to being a VA resident. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for residency to be established?

Without tribal affiliation you will likely get little to no boost (To easy for anyone in America to claim NA).Kimi wrote:NA, but no tribal affiliation (can't get it once you've married outside of the tribe 2x in Canada). I believe My great great grandfather was 100% Cherokee (which would likely not leave enough in me to count) but I dont look like I have even 1% NA in me lol
