Confused....... Tough choice to make Southern or Faulkner
Ok, I have this serious problem, and I need you guys advice. I'm a Sr. at Auburn University and I applied to a few law schools and I heard back from Faulkner, North Carolina Central, Southern University Law Center, FAMU, and Mississippi College. I see alot of people have bad mouthed Southern on the forum but they the only ones who have offered me the most money thus far, so my question for you guys is if I attend Southern or Faulkner will I have at least decent job prospects upon graduation? I haven't heard back from Ole Miss my first choice yet, but I don't want to waste three years of my life and end up jobless.

Do you have a job lined up after graduation? If not, it will likely not be in your best interests to attend these schools for anything more than free.Antj88 wrote: if I attend Southern or Faulkner will I have at least decent job prospects upon graduation?

Have you been to lawschooltransparency.com?
They have employment data that would be worth taking a look at. Just go to the data clearinghouse and pick a school you're considering.

Feel the heat going thru this makes me wish I could relive freshman year and start off with a 4.0

Don't sweat it, I applied with a 2.8 and ended up at a decent school. Retake the lsat and give yourself a real opportunity.Antj88 wrote:Feel the heat going thru this makes me wish I could relive freshman year and start off with a 4.0

Just work hard it and you can probably break 160. I know you think the site is putting you down, but the schools simply aren't worth $ + 3 years of your life. If you can't get into a strong regional school and keep your debt low, it may be best to pursue other options.Antj88 wrote:Yea you right, I hoping to make at least a 160 this time around, I been studying hard and plan on taking this prep course.

Agree with FTH. OP, if your concern is spending 3 years of your life in law school and ending up jobless, then you need to avoid these schools.
