I see on law school calculator that i have

School With Record With Worse
Ann Arbor 3-22 2-85
U- Virginia 2-22 3-70
NYU 0-16 2-71
Georgetown 4-46 4-232


Obviously these are bad odds, but i have seen people play the lottery with much worse
Do you think these numbers are outdated? Or do 2-5% of people with my numbers get in?
Or are these people have extremely strong softs?
Should i apply to any of these? Is their another T14 worth considering?

My GPA was 3.4, but I got into the T1 with money. That's more realistic than T14, I think.

Nope, this is my first thread about T14, i have made a few threads about Emory/Fordham/GW though

I am not a URM, but those stats are from hourumb, and they exclude URM's

So if i have a 4% chance of admissions, wouldn't it be foolish to not invest the $80?
Unless of course those 4% are persons who have huge softs

Let's be clear, "bro" - I got big scholly at multiple schools outside the T14. You're not in the same position, "bro". Your GPA is bad, period

You WILL NOT get big money anywhere inside the T30. With your terrible GPA, the best chance you have of attending law school w/out crushing debt is OUTSIDE THE T30

I am not anticipating an acceptance from any T14, i just think its worth taking a gamble. I would be pleasantly surprised to get into Fordham/GW. Sorry if i upset you, wasn't trying to patronize you (for lack of a better word)

I know someone who grew up in abject poverty AND a higher LSAT than yours AND a higher GPA than yours who was only WAITLISTED at T14

You would be surprised how little adcomms care about sob stories

i don't want to hear "it's his money; he can do whatever he wants w/ it" - that's a flimsy argument in any situation where you could have advised someone w/ inferior information against wasting his money

i did tell him he had no chance at those schools, i didn't say "yeah definitely apply there you'll get in!" everyone told him he had no chance whatsoever, including myself, so if he wants to take that information and ignore it.. then that's his deal.

Applying to any T14 is a complete waste of money. You have 0 chance. I'm not saying this to be mean or anything, but you know the metric you're looking at isn't very accurate and even it tells you the odds are shitty. 0 chance. If you just want to spend a grand, go buy a nice laptop or something.
