My undergraduate GPA is in the 3.1 range. I've yet to take the LSAT and I understand that will play a large role in my admissions success, but from looking around online it feels like I'm screwed with a 3.1 GPA. I understand I'm not going to Harvard or any school like that, but will a strong LSAT score help me get beyond a lower GPA and "get in" to a decent law school?
I'm sorry if this has been covered before.
Thanks for any help.

Yes... doing better on the LSAT will still give you a better cycle than doing not as well. When you know your GPA isn't as strong, that's all the more incentive to try and work to kill the test.

Re: Question about my GPA
mmk33 got a PhD before law school, and by doing so significantly improved his chances of getting into HLS. I would go get a PhD first.

Re: Question about my GPA
Your LSAT score will have more weight than your GPA anyway... so invest all of your assets in doing well on the LSAT... but are you a senior? Take some fluff classes next term ( if you can ) to boost your GPA.
