URM AND Super Reverse-Splitter: Chance me, please!
I've spent quite a bit of time at LSN and on lawschoolpredictor trying to figure out where I should apply to. But I've run into the following situation: If a URM is listed it's usually for AA or MA, and I'm NA which I know is considered differently than AA/MA. Also, I'm a pretty drastic reverse splitter.
So, here are my stats. To what range of schools should I be targeting? Chances at T14?
165/4.0
NA
Softs: Master's, congressional internships, 4 years WE, publications/conference presentations, student body president in UG
P.S. Viewed this http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 9&t=170051 and I got two "yes" answers, so I made this tread.
P.S.S. Retaking is not an option. I'm old and broke and need to leave the cubicle life behind.
Thanks!

You're really a huge reverse splitter. I don't know how NA compares to AA but at my T6 I know there are several URMS who are <4.0 and <165.

T6
Apply to all of the top 10. I think amazing softs could get the top three, otherwise top 6.

I hope you can crack HYS. You seem super accomplished. I am rooting for you (as long as you getting in doesn't mean I don't jajaja). But seriously good luck!

Def blanket the T14, in my opinion. I really think you have a shot at the T6, and probably money from the bottom T14. I thiiiink schools tend to favor URM reverse splitters (vs URM traditional splitters) so that might be good for you. Also, for safeties try to hit up schools that really like high GPAs (California schools, UT, etc etc). BUT I don't think you'll need to rely on them. (: Hope you kick ass this cycle TLSP!

I can't see you having to go below the MVPB tier. Just blanket the t14 and pick out a few others you find interesting in the t40 or so as safeties if it makes you feel better.thelawschoolproject wrote:Really? Doubtful, I feel.Yeshia90 wrote:Enjoy HYS.

HYS is fairly likely for you. NA is fairly similar to AA, and I've see plenty of AAs with similar stats get HCornelius wrote:I can't see you having to go below thethelawschoolproject wrote:Really? Doubtful, I feel.Yeshia90 wrote:Enjoy HYS.MVPB tierCCN.

LOL, this girl wrote a HILARIOUS thread called "Applying to Law School Is Making Me Chubby ):" or something. HIGHLY worth a read. I think she picwhored and left it up there too:Yeshia90 wrote:http://lawschoolnumbers.com/chrissyc/jd
