And your LSAT score is actually better than you think. The top quartile is still a good score; I also have a 158. Your gpa is higher than mine, so that helps out a lot. A 3.8 is really good.

Very true. A higher ranked school + ties to the region have been much more successful than people whose ties are attending the local school. Anecdotal, but makes since. Firms don't want to pay for your training only to have you lateral away in a couple years.
