166/3.74

Post by airbear1012 » Tue Oct 25, 2011 5:38 pm

Looking at:

BC
BU
Wash U
Minnesota
Notre Dame
WM
Indiana
Wash and Lee
Wisconsin

I have taken two LSAT's in a row so I'm not going to retake this cycle. Should I apply and see what I get? Anything I can do to tip the scales in terms of scholarships? Any suggestions on where else I should look?
I want to do public interest/government work in the Midwest or Northeast.

Also: Will schools start sending out fee waivers again or should I start emailing them?

I'm suddenly finding myself second guessing my choices. Any opinions on what would be better for PI, one of the schools listed with a scholarship or highest ranked I can get into? If highest ranked, what school might that be?

I'd say BC for sure (that's where I am), possibly with a scholarship. I know people who are straight out of undergrad whose GPA and LSAT were around median and they got a decent amount of scholarship money. They are pretty passionate about pursuing public interest, so maybe that had something to do with it too.

I had similar stats last cycle 166/3.8

Link to my LSN page is in my profile. I'd recommend shooting a little higher.... if you can afford the apps, are willing to forgo a scholarship, and ride out some waitlists.... You never know.
