Post by rox307 » Tue Oct 25, 2011 10:47 am

I have 3.8 GPA from a small mid-western state school, 167 LSAT, M.A. from major research university. I’m wondering about my chances at these schools.

Stanford
Michigan
Penn
UC Berkeley
Virginia
Duke
Northwestern
Cornell
Georgetown
Texas
UCLA
Vanderbilt
George Washington
Minnesota
William and Mary

I had similar numbers when I applied, and schools like Duke, Michigan, Penn, Virginia, etc. were all waitlists. Your GPA is higher than mine so perhaps one of those waitlists could somehow be an acceptance. I did get into Cornell, so that may very well be an acceptance for you. Stanford is a complete waste of $$. You have enough reach schools without throwing $$ away. And you should definitely have some solid hits with your match schools.

These are identical numbers to my own and about the same range of schools. Probably a lot of WL's but hopefully in with decent $$ at 15-25 range.
