LSAT 161 and GPA 3.6. First-generation Chinese girl. Interned for a judge (will write LOR).
Chances for UCLA, USC, Davis, and Hastings? I know the latter two are more likely.

UCLA and USC are a stretch. Davis? Maybe. They've really shot up the rankings. Hastings should be good. You are obviously a Cali resident, wrong?

I didn't do as well as I would've liked on the LSAT... If I can't even get in at Davis, then I might consider taking a year off and take it again. But yeah, I'm a CA resident.BeerMaker wrote:UCLA and USC are a stretch. Davis? Maybe. They've really shot up the rankings. Hastings should be good. You are obviously a Cali resident, wrong?

Don't be afraid of taking a year off. I would try and get in at Davis this year, though. Write a great personal statement and include them in it somehow. Talk about why they are the school that you want to get a legal education from. I took a year off after scoring a 159. I just scored 7 points higher than that. I studies really really hard, but I think it should pay off for me. Good luck and never quit trying if it's what you really want to do with your life!
