3.17/177 looking at U Chicago

Post by ColtsFan88 » Tue Oct 25, 2011 2:03 am

3.17 GPA, 152-166-177, average softs. I'll write an addendum since I hear UChi likes it. How are my odds, ED and RD?

I've heard ED NYU in this range, but I don't have any interest in doing that. I'm kinda hoping that a smaller applicant pool makes Chicago a possibility.

Thanks.

Almost same stats I'm 3.25 172/179. You're almost certainly an admit at UVA ED with those numbers, maybe not RD. Up to you whether you roll the dice. I am though, so hope to see you next fall, my splitter brother.

Man I was hoping to have similar LSAT as you. But I fell short. Lucky for you, I did a lot of research based on your numbers.

RD is a reject.
The only way you can get in is with ED, and even with ED it's probably a 50/50 or less.
You have good shot at Penn ED.

However, with your numbers without ED, its unpredictable and not a very good chance at CCNMVP.
In your position you have to ask yourself this: do you really want to go to UChi that bad that you are willing to risk the "almost autoadmit with ED" at other schools?

I really want UChi too so what I would do is ED and hope the other T14's will bite if I didn't get in.

Btw: very nice improvement on your LSAT. Good luck on your cycle. If you have a LSN account could you link it? thanks

Thanks for the advice. Honestly, I feel like my second choice is Gtown, so I'm not really worried about not using my ED on MVP.
