3.17/165

Post by hoya2012 » Mon Oct 24, 2011 6:52 pm

Senior at Georgetown, just got back my Oct. LSAT and it was unfortunately only a 165. My GPA is a 3.17, which falls pretty low (15th percentile maybe) here. What are my chances at any school worth going to? Should I retake in December, and if so would that be too late to have a shot at WUSTL, Notre Dame, or BC?

Thanks

Well how much would I need to improve to make up for applying so late in the cycle?

EDIT: Would it be a better idea, for instance, to retake in December or to ED to Notre Dame now?

If you're taking out full loans, I wouldn't ED ND. Good way to possibly ruin yourself financially.

Not worried about finances; my dad will pay for school wherever I can get in.

Consider doing both. Retake & ED to Notre Dame. What is Notre Dame's policy with respect to those applicants not accepted ED ? If non-accepted ED applicants are placed into the RD applicant pool, then the retake may help.

Well that's what I don't know. Based on this (http://www.nd.edu/~ndlaw/admissions/fil ... ctions.pdf), I don't think they just roll you over to RD if they don't accept you. So, would I be better off EDing now or RD after a hopeful increase in LSAT from a December retake?
