156 LSAT, 3.9 GPA. What are my chances?...
Hey all,
I have an LSAT score of 156 and a gpa of 3.9. I go to a private university in California, and my hope is to get into UCLA, USC, UC Berkeley, Georgetown, Notre Dame, UC Davis, and/or UC Hastings.
I am a Boren and Gilman Scholar, and have applied for a Fulbright Scholarship as well. I can secure 4 very strong recommendations.
BESIDES retaking the test, what are my chances if I applied with what I have now? I tend not to do very well on standardized tests like the SATs and LSATs, so I'm hoping with what I have now I can get into somewhere in the above places I have listed.
Thanks!

Grizz, I assume you were bitter with your results to give me such an answer with no reasoning behind it.

ive researched this.
U need to break 165 for those schools.
sure there are exceptions, but u have to be black or brown and have some solid lor and extraordinary expierence to stand a shot.
just saying- dont hate me.

If you want in, retake, simple as that. Sorry I'm not sorry.simplyxeva wrote:Grizz, I assume you were bitter with your results to give me such an answer with no reasoning behind it.

Ha! Well here is my assumption: you have done absolutely no research towards law school or the admissions process if you think there are other options to get into those schools besides retaking a 156.simplyxeva wrote:Grizz, I assume you were bitter with your results to give me such an answer with no reasoning behind it.

Retake for any of those schools. Seriously, I know how much it will suck psychologically taking a year off and restudying, but do it anyway. Refocus your strategy with this website's help and your future self will love you for it.
