riddle me this...
ok so this is tricky:
i have two ba's. my first is in talmudic law with a 4.0 gpa.
my second is in psychology with a 3.5 (ouch, although i have a grade under review which may change it significantly)
my cumulative gpa is a 3.77
i took the lsat's once and scored a 162 and just re took in october. i felt pretty solid except one LR section so im hoping from a 167/8 +.
i have great LOR's, great PS and great resume.
i need to apply the second that score comes out and i was hoping for a chance at either columbia, nyu or penn...
if i score a:
167?
168?
169?
170?
171?
172?
what do i do?

Re: riddle me this...
Take the LSAT and then reassess.. Too hard to say without a score.
But in terms of GPA, I thought LSAC only considers the undergrad GPA up to the point of you're first BA?? In which case it sounds like you might be golden if you had a 4.0 at the time you completed you're first BA... Maybe you can clarify the circumstances a bit.. Do you have an LSAC GPA yet? With no LSAC GPA and no LSAT this is a fairly pointless inquiry IMO, although maybe people can give you more insight about the GPA uncertainty you are facing..

The predictor can give you a pretty good idea of where you do or do not have a shot. It doesn't account for your soft factors, just numbers, of course. But, let's be honest - everyone has great LOR's, resume's, and personal statements.

Re: riddle me this...
i was in the middle of two ba's simultaneously so therefore it kind of lowered that 4.0 to a cumulative 3.77.
my lsac report reads a degree gpa of a 4.0 and a cumulative lsac gpa of a 3.77

Re: riddle me this...
NYU and Columbia are very LSAT oriented so your 162 certainly sets your back. They are also schools that consider all the LSAT scores, not just your highest. So you will certainly need to get a much higher score to have a shot, I would say mid-170s and beyond.

They say they do but in practice it's not really a big deal.ColumbiaChamp wrote:NYU and Columbia are very LSAT oriented so your 162 certainly sets your back.
