Re: 156/2.9/URM/Should I Apply ED to American?
Resounding no due to debt coupled with bad job prospects.

no. and then no again.
Keep your options open as a URM. I would look for money at some good cheap regional schools like U houston, 'bama, Georgia... or retake the LSAT.

I think she's asking for her chances of getting accepted to American, not about the school itself.Grizz wrote:Resounding no due to debt coupled with bad job prospects.

OP: You need to define "worth" in this context by sharing why you want to attend American for law school & what you hope to gain by applying early. Without more, the answer is probably "no".

it's really funny when someone asks a simple question, people here just always respond : nope, not worth it, unless it's T14 with money, don't answer the question from the perspective of an elite law school students, but from OP's perspective

Re: 156/2.9/URM/Should I Apply ED to American?
From the OP's perspective, American is a school that will cost a HELLA lot of $$ and cost of living in DC is high too. The employment prospects aren't that good, and many grads end up unemployed. On top of this, the DC market is FLOODED and students at Georgetown & GWU will get jobs before those from American. So the OP might end up with a ton of debt and no way of paying it back.Jah'rakal wrote:it's really funny when someone asks a simple question, people here just always respond : nope, not worth it, unless it's T14 with money, don't answer the question from the perspective of an elite law school students, but from OP's perspective
Your advice isn't helpful.

The vast majority won't perform well enough to make it worth $200k debt.Jah'rakal wrote:Ameircan is a good school, if u perform well, u can find a good job in DC, so yes, it is worth the ED if u want DC area
