3.78/164
3.78 weighted gpa (if i calculated it correctly)
164 lsat from last summer (never gonna take it again) (EDIT - typoed my lsat as 163)
Female double major in humanities/social science from top public school
Non-URM
Softs: No volunteer or organization stuff. Worked 30+hrs a week to put myself through school. After graduation, I spent a year in a management positionr at a start-up, then time as a legal assistant, then unemployed (laid-off) / traveling .
What are my chances for acceptance / $ at the following:
(list edited to avoid the trolling/attacks and add some possible considerations for early decision )
Boalt (dream school)
Penn (reach)
Michigan (reach)
Northwestern - early decision (reach)
Georgetown (reach)
UCLA - early decision (reach)
Austin (reach)
USC (reach)
Emory
UIUC
George-Washington
Boston
ND
Davis (Safety?)
Hastings (Safety?)
Tulane (Safety?)
Thanks for your time and constructive posts!

Re: 3.78/164
To be honest, your safety schools are almost reaches with your LSAT score.
I know you are not going to want to hear this, but if you really want to get into some of those schools you are going to need a higher LSAT score. Your GPA is good, but it is not stellar compared to the medians at a lot of those schools. Not to mention that when it comes to being admitted a high LSAT is worth a lot more than a 4.0.

Re: 3.78/164
Sorry, for a lot of these schools you're going to need a higher lsat. Because of your high GPA and WE you have shot at schools past USC but will likely not get much financial aid.Stanford out
Chicago out
Boalt out
Penn out
Michigan out
Northwestern out
Georgetown out
UCLA out/waitlist
Austin out
USC out
Emory in
UIUC out
George-Washington in
Boston (bu?) I'll say WL/in
ND in
Davis (Safety) wl/in
Hastings (Safety) in
Tulane (Safety) in
Check out this website: lawschoolnumbers.com
this is probably the best resource out there for gauging your chances.
Good luck

Re: 3.78/164
It improves your chances at schools lower than USC on your list, and will probably get you in to boston pretty easily. For the top half of that list you're going to need a 168/169+ to really have any shot.
EDIT: Saw the correction

you're at least 4 points away from getting real consideration from most the schools on your list.bobloblaw'slawblog wrote: Emory-WL

If you wanna be stubborn and refuse to retake that's your decision. If you can improve basically 1 question per section that could get you into UCLA and USC. Also, all the schools you have a shot at are regional, so you need to decide where you want to spend the rest of your life.
I seriously wouldn't even waste the time/money applying to anyone on your list above UCLA (except maybe Boalt if they give a boost to their undergrad but I doubt it).

Re: 3.78/164
are you really this delusional? go look at the medians for some of the schools you think you have a shot at. even your gpa isn't at median for some of those schools. plus, your softs are less than mediocre. i hope you are a troll.
