2.98/154, Tier 2?
2.98 UGPA/154 LSAT, Military Officer
Georgia State
Stetson
Miami
Florida International
I realize I’m borderline for most of these places. Is hoping for some GPA padding for 4 years out of undergrad imprudent?
Thanks.

Dude just retake. You probably won't get into any and if you do it will cost a crapload. Two months vs 200k....

Ouch, not a chance huh?
Post 9/11 Gi bill covers tuition at FIU and Ga State and pays a housing allowance wherever I go. Stetson would also be free with the yellow ribbon program (first come first served, not performance based). Miami will end up about 10k a year all-in-all.
Thanks for the feedback, and don't worry, I'll do the Vegas thing either way!

If you can get your school paid for with the G.I bill it might be worth going. But you should still retake the LSAT to open up the options to attend better schools.

That's cool that you can get your tuition paid for, but you still want to go to a school that will get you a decent job when you get out. And that means you should probably re-take.JamesTJ wrote:Ouch, not a chance huh?

I live in South Florida and I know UMiami has great placement in the Miami market. Don't expect that degree to take you much farther north than Orlando though. I go to UF undergrad and UMiami is still my #1...If I get a decent scholarship (around 50%) I'll most likely attend. If I were you, I'd retake because a few more points might make you a stronger contender at Miami. If you can already have Miami for 10k a year, then you don't have to worry about outscoring their 75th%s to land a decent scholarship.
Don't expect biglaw out of Miami, but you can have a decent job in South Florida if you work hard. Cost of living is high, but I think you mentioned you had that covered as well.
Hope that helps.

Even if you get your tuition paid for, you are unlikely to be admitted to any of those except FIU.
Definitely out at Miami & GSU. Out at FT Stetson - if they have a PT program you have a shot. The best option is retake.
