3.1 GPA and 160 LSAT Forum

I was wondering what range of schools within the top 100 if any I could get into with a 3.1 GPA and a 160 LSAT? I Appreciate your time.

Where are you from? Are you trying to stay in-state? If you're looking at public in-state schools they're easier to get into because most are capped at only taking 30% of applicants from out of state.

I am from Minnesota. I would like to get away for a few years and go to another location and experience new things while in Law School but if that's not a realistic option then I will stick around Minnesota.

Have you looked at the law schools descriptions on this site? A few are out of date, but it's still a pretty good indicator of what ranges your score (LSAT and GPA) would fall within. Give them a look. There's usually a few in any state that would be reaches, targets, and safeties.

Are you willing to retake? Anything above a 165 will open a lot of doors.

I havent taken the LSAT yet. Right now that is what I am shooting for. I have a year and a half and can go up to two more if I would want to retake a few classes to get my GPA up. Would it be worth some summer classes and the extra semester to try and bump my GPA up? And I have been looking at the site I was just seeing what others thought was realistic because i have seen mixed responses on what numbers would get you where.
