170/3.69 Chances T14/ T10
Hey guys,
I'm trying to go straight through from Undergrad, though I did have a pretty good summer internship under a state judge (does this help?).
I kind of want to know my chances at Penn, Mich, Cornell and if you think any $$ anywhere. I plan to apply this coming cycle so any help would be much appreciated. I ask here because Law-school predictor scares me a bit.
Thanks

No money at any T14. In T14-9.

Slightly pessimistic.
OP: You have an OK chance at UPenn and a pretty good chance at UMich (re: schools not 9 - 14). As to the money issue, it seems like some applicants with your numbers received money from the lower T14 and some did not. Put together the best application you can and see what happens!
Good luck.

Thanks for both the pessimism and optimism
, does coming from a lower-tier Ivy help at all? I believe the consensus is a resounding no. Also, If I bring my LSAC GPA up to or even slightly above a 3.7 with one more semester would this alter my chances so that Penn is a more solid option or NYU is in the mix; I'd love to go to school in NYC.
Thanks for the advice

I am thinking your ceiling is Penn in terms of possible acceptances. If you were to retake and get a 172+ then T6 would be in play.
In regards to the GPA: every .01 counts even if it only makes you a marginally more attractive candidate
In regards to Ivy: this may actually be a slight boost (re: very small) at UPenn which has a small incoming class and thus can be slightly more picky, selective as to who they admit
In regards to schools in NYC: Fordham would give you $$

However, after looking at LSN, if you were to ED to NYU, it looks like you could get an acceptance. However, in this situation, I would almost guarantee that all money given would be need-based only.

False but close. I was slightly worse gpa and got money at Cornell and mvp at sticker. Youre probably looking at something similar. Look at this. http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 7&t=140960anewaphorist wrote:No money at any T14. In T14-9.

Please dont go to Fordham with these stats. Also, if you ED to your choice of MVP you will almost definitely get in (here is penn's ED list last year http://penn.lawschoolnumbers.com/applic ... =3&type=jd, if you choose not to ED then you may get money at one of MVP, definitely not out of the question, but somewhat unlikely. CNN at long shots but in play with ED. You can ED to uva if ed to CNN fails if you would like as well.lawyerwannabe wrote:I am thinking your ceiling is Penn in terms of possible acceptances. If you are set on mvp i still think EDing makes sense to insure against striking out. You are somewhat borderline still, though on the positive side.GerardC3 wrote:Thank you, those are some uplifting numbers.
