Gpa is between 3.4 and 3.5. I double majored in social sciences/interdisciplinary studies.
LSAT 171. Considering retaking.
I have one solid LOR (still trying to figure out who to ask for the other), two quality diplomatic internships abroad, and some minor experience in student politics/volunteer groups on campus. I graduated this past spring and am hoping to work this next year or two, depending on what I find and whether or not it increases my chances of being accepted at a top school.
I've gathered UVa ED is good for people w/out WE whose GPAs are a bit lower. Are there any other special notes for the other T14 schools?
At this point I figure my best shot is at G'town, although I'd really prefer a smaller school. Ideally I'd like to go to UPenn, UChicago, NYU or Columbia, but I doubt I'd have any chance unless I could bring my LSAT score up to 175 following an October retake...
Thoughts? Advice?
Thanks in advance!!!!!

While your chances at CCN are low, you do have a shot at the lower T14. Mainly UVa, UMich, UPenn as they all tend to reach lower in the GPA than other schools. Take a look at http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com

Yeah the LSN numbers seem to suggest I'd have a chance at those schools. Would I have a shot at CCN with an improved LSAT score? Is the October test too late?
Thanks a lot!

likely not. you'll prob get waitlists, and dumped off quickly unless you brought your score up five points +. retaking for a point or two likely won't make much of a difference in your cycle either for $ or for admission.nmilanb wrote:bk187 wrote:While your chances at CCN are low, you do have a shot at the lower T14.
