3.95/169 No idea on my softs... what are my chances in T25?
Retake?
And for softs, I have a smattering of community service, and a record of winning college speech and debate. Nothing really life-changing.

Depends on which schools in the T25 but people with worse numbers (even much worse numbers like myself) find their way in to the T25

Oh, and everyone will tell you to retake and aim higher

Retake if you're confident you can do better, but you'll kick ass right now in the 25 (and the T14) so don't think you're in a bad spot.

A retake would be worth it if you've been PTing higher. Extra study might even help.
But with the current numbers, I'd say you get MVPDNC, and you might have a shot at Chicago. If you can raise the score to 173, you're looking at HYSCCN.

Just for reference's sake, a few schools I just picked out of the T25 that I would be interested in, from the top down:
Chicago
NYU
U Penn
UV
UCLA
Vandy
USC
GWU
Which of these, being admitted notwithstanding, do I have a chance in (if any) to see any scholarship offers?
Also, 169 is right above my PT average. But I still consistently pull near-perfect scores on everything but the motherfracking logic games, which I constantly score -6 or -7 in. This makes me think that with targeted study for a few more agonizing months, I could get better scores...

You have a very good chance at all the schools on this list. You'll start seeing money from Michigan and Duke, and it will get bigger as you go down. Full ride to GW and beyond.
It doesn't sound like you would do much better on a retake if you studied solidly and you're PTing above your average. If you really think you could do better, and you raise your average to 173+ and score that on the actual test, then you will see BIG money from all the schools on this list, and have a shot of admission everywhere. Except Yale. Yale is a flame.

NYU will give you the most trouble. Penn and Chicago are toss-ups, so apply early. ED would have a significant effect on either. The others are probably locks.AlabamaIceman wrote:Just for reference's sake, a few schools I just picked out of the T25 that I would be interested in, from the top down:

I don't know about Chicago and NYU, otherwise you should be good.
