3.1/167 retake
Hi. I'm at a top 5 public school, rising senior, first LSAT was a 157. I am majoring in biopsychology and English. My GPA is low because of pre-med courses that I frontloaded during my college career. My June score is much lower than I anticipated, but I don't plan on retaking again. I have no idea what to do at this point.

You should get some T30 schools to bite on the LSAT score, and the old score shouldn't hurt you because you won't be applying to schools who average scores.fltanglab wrote:Hi. Do you have any schools in mind that you'd like to go to? Regions, costs, etc? It'd be more helpful if you could provide some more info.

I don't care about cost and I would like to end up in DC ultimately. I currently attend a school in the midwest.law4vus wrote:You should get some T30 schools to bite on the LSAT score, and the old score shouldn't hurt you because you won't be applying to schools who average scores.fltanglab wrote:Hi. For reference's sake, I got WL at GW with a 3.3, 167. With your numbers, I think your best shot at DC might be at American (you might get WL at first but they are YP whores), but they're stingy with money and it isn't worth going at sticker. You'll probably also get a WL at GW if you want to try getting off of it.fltanglab wrote:bump. Anyone?

Hola. I was your numbers twin this cycle and got into GW part time. That might be an option worth exploring - you'll probably get WLed for full time and maybe in off the WL, maybe not. Georgetown is pretty much out unless you're extraordinary.
You may want to consider Washington & Lee. William & Mary will be tough with your GPA, but is also probably worth an app. I didn't consider American because they give little to no aid but if you're dead set on DC, they're worth an app.

Thanks. I'm from the metro DC area and I would rather not go to American. I'll take my chances at everywhere in the T30, minus HYSCCN. I'm a pretty stellar writer with some one-of-a-kind experiences with which to work, so I'm banking on writing to get me in places.

I don't feel comfortable with the idea of going to school in Virginia barring a strong incentive to be at a specific school (like UVA).snapdragon wrote:Hola.
