ED at NYU or Penn? (3.7 HYP and 173) Forum

I posted a chance thread a while ago, but now I have a specific question . So please don't kill me.

I want NYU, and I want it bad. I will apply for the AnBryce Scholarship program, but we all know that's close to impossible to get.

Given my borderline stats for CCN, would it make more sense to ED NYU or Penn in the hope of admission and scholarship money in the case of Penn? Law school ED's are absolutely binding, right? Even if you simply can't afford to attend?

Not that I wouldn't love to have at least a shot at HLS later in the cycle, but let's be realistic.

You would be insane to ED Penn with those stats. There is literally no reason to do that.

ED is not binding. It does mean that you cannot attend another law school that cycle if you are accepted. You can ED, get admitted, decline, wait a cycle, reapply.

There's a chance that you could get money at NYU, and certainly Columbia and Chicago aren't out, right? Alternatively, a place like Penn could offer you a lot of money and that would be a better option than any of CCN at full-price.

I'm a 3.65/173 applicant and I'm EDing CLS. you have a solid shot at NYU without ED and are probably in at penn.

From what I remember when I looked at LSN, most people with your numbers got NYU, about half got CLS.
