Cornell doesn't have ED, it has non-binding EA. So you could and should do that and be able to ED elsewhere.

If you're willing to accept UVA if they accept you (even if no $), you should ED there -- they'll let you know pretty quickly. And yes, being a VA resident should help.

However , id be happy to attend any of these schools.

the question is ****which will i have the highest chance of getting into for ED?

btw, i am a VA resident. For However that fact helps me out.

thanks!
you should have Cornell RD if you apply early and Cornell doesn't have ED anyway. if you feel the need then ED to Georgetown, although many people on these boards would say that it's a safer bet to take money at a lower ranked school than do GT at sticker. UVa probably won't happen unless you get taken off the WL after EDing because the school needs more VA residents

good luck!

Got any room for a retake? 3.6/168 isn't going to cut it for UVA or Gtown. Maybe Cornell though.

UVA all the way--your residency is a big boost there. They have to take 40% in-state.

This.

Not really. Looking at LSN seems to show that VA residency is not really much of a boost at all, and it especially isn't going to overcome being below both medians.

No shot whatsoever at UVA or GULC. Cornell could be a possibility.

I'd ED to UVA just in case, but you won't get it. You are significantly below both medians. Apply early to Cornell with a flawless application.

eeek. take caution in what you read on message boards and don't get your hopes up. most people around here will tell you your chances are low for V even with ED

It's still kind of a long shot, but I think you have by far the best odds at UVA of the schools you listed if you're going to to ED somwhere. To quote my UVA waitlist letter:
...we expect to receive over 7,500 non-resident applications for 60% of the seats, and approximately 650 resident applications for the other 40%, making this a very competitive year for every applicant.
*edit I'm not trying to give false hope here--just saying, I definitely don't think OP is hopeless if he or she wants to ED.

His spot will go to someone who has a 3.9/163 or a 3.0/170.

They do not have to, but point taken.

DF is right, though. I think chances at UVA are very slim.

Have you thought about taking the LSAT a fourth time? I have a 168 and a 3.8+ and am thinking about doing that. Not sure yet though.

Non URM below both medians is pretty hopeless. I would be surprised if even one person has been accepted over the last couple of years.

I was thinking of contacting a school that I know takes your highest score and then asking them to sponsor me for a 4th sitting. I'd be taking it in a foreign country, but I know LSAC recently changed their policy so you cancel the day before without it showing up on your record - so you could always do that in a worst case scenario.
