None of the above because sticker at those schools is a bad idea.

Re: which one to ED to?
You have the best shot at whichever of those schools accept the most amount of 160ish/sub3.0 URMs. Which you can find by either looking at the graph for the school or doing a search for people with those stats.Mr.JD2015 wrote:ive been to that site so what school in general then should I ED at?

Re: which one to ED to?
If ur AA, you'll probably get American without ED, which means you can negotiate with them for $$$. No need to ED if you're set for DC. You don't want to risk attending these schools at sticker price.Mr.JD2015 wrote:what schools do you think I should look at given my #'s 2.7, 160

Umm use google and stop being a baby. I'm sure you can find out what schools are in these cities and look them up on law school numbers all by your lonesome.Mr.JD2015 wrote:other cities I was looking at were

Re: which one to ED to?
Because it's probably not a good idea to pay a bunch of money to go to a mediocre school in a parochial market (Miami, Boston, SF) where you have no ties.Mr.JD2015 wrote:Yes; D.C.

As of right now you don't have a good shot at these schools. Ideally you should be retaking so that you do have a shot at them.Mr.JD2015 wrote:so maybe looking at schools like

Re: which one to ED to?
Even as a URM, you're gonna have to retake the LSAT to make up for your toilet GPA, but you can probably snap American or UMD. I wouldn't go to UMD unless I wanted to work in MD, and I wouldn't go to American without a LOT of money. They're stingy.Mr.JD2015 wrote:so maybe looking at schools like

Re: which one to ED to?
Don't ED to any of those schools.
With your URM, status, you have no idea how money is going to play out at different schools.
You should apply broadly to schools that are in markets that you are interested in. And then maybe apply to a few reaches as well.

Re: which one to ED to?
Look, I didn't read a lot of this but:
First off, why not apply regular decision to several more schools? Like Howard and the ones you listed all spring to mind. You have a shot at Howard for sure, and they place pretty well... and the others you mentioned with AA status won't hurt.
Secondly, have you considered strong regional schools... especially in places without large AA populations so that you stand out a little?
Also, may I recommend UNM if you ever wanted to live in the southwest? You would be a splitter for them, but with AA status it gives you a chance. You would need to make it very clear in your PS that you want to live in New Mexico and that you plan to practice there... but at both the ASD and other times I have been there I have seen only 3 African Americans.... yet they are underserved here too, with almost 4% of the population being black these days if I recall the new census numbers correctly.
Finally, don't ED. IMO you have a chance at scholarships in the lower T2 and upper T3 with your LSAT and AA status provided you write a good PS.
