not 100% on the gpa. it's somewhere in between 2.75 and 3.0.

dropped out of a top 65 (usnews) with a 2.01. had a lot of fs, incomplete fs, and ws due to "personal reasons." went to community college and then transferred to my state university, also top 65. about to graduate with at least a 3.75, although i'm thinking about staying a little longer to try and boost my overall gpa.

i'm interested in studying law and economics. what's the best that i can do?

you need to get your gpa over 3.0

You're an extreme splitter. I would say blanket the T40 up to maybe the bottom T14. Make sure to write both a GPA addendum and a diversity statement.

Also, is this your LSAC GPA? With all of the Fs and Is you mention, it makes me worry that LSAC will be even rougher in calculating your GPA. Many school have GPA cutoffs, but maybe being PR will get you around that.

Edit: Also, to be frank, Law & Econ as a full-grown area only exists essentially at the T6, and it's not exactly a practice area. So you might want to look into related areas.

yeah, the best law and econ is at UChi, and even as a URM, your going to have a tough time getting in there
