Re: chance me, extreme splitter
3.2/176 here, but for a lot of reasons, your cycle should play out a lot better than mine. I would not ED to NYU. If you are checking Mexican American at all, you are a URM. If you can possibly write a diversity statement to reinforce that you're an URM, then you should be competitive at CCN without ED, and H might be worth the app fee.

EDing is a good idea if you're damn sure you can go at sticker.
I'd say, in at UVA, in at Northwestern (if you have work exp), possible at UChi (which could mean money with that LSAT)
If you get URM (which you should), CCN should be strong and H is possible, everything below N will be $
The thing is, any of these schools will give you a fighting chance for a lot of jobs, and because the New York market is not as concerned with regional ties as other places, it is more an issue of school prestige and grades than whether the school was close to the city.
I think that if you ED, you may end up paying a lot of money when you could get a good offer elsewhere.
On a side note, everyone this cycle on LSN that got a 175+ got accepted, so it might not be worth it to ED and waste the chance to take better money to a comparable school or negotiate to get $ at NYU.

You got a chance at Harvard. Small but existent.

Re: chance me, extreme splitter
My resume is very unremarkable, and my PS was probably average. What I think hurt most though was deciding to retake the LSAT in February. I only had one decision at the time, from WUSTL, and all the other schools where I was complete put me on hold until March. I knew I could increase my score, so I thought it was a no brainer to retake, but in retrospect, I think I should have just let it ride with the 172. I'm about 90% that I'll just go to WUSTL. I know reapplying makes a lot of sense, but I just really hate my current job/hometown, and want to be in school somewhere next year. If I kill it at WUSTL, I'll transfer up, but if not, I'm pretty sure I'm fine with making 50k in the Midwest.
