Very low. Check out law school predictor. I'd suggest a retake; it will be worth it.

0 chance of either. With your GPA so low, you need to add a couple more points. You could possibly get into some schools in the 23-30 range.

You have a horrible shot now with it being so late in the game. Wait until next cycle, apply in October/November, and enjoy attending your T20 school next fall.

So do you guys think law school predictor is totally inaccurate? I know it's not perfect but I've been operating under the assumption that it's a decent approximation. Thoughts?

Re: AA Male 2.9 160
LSP is ABSURDLY inaccurate when it comes to grading the chances of URMs. OP you should look at lawschoolnumbers.com and search URM users with similar stats.ams wrote:So do you guys think law school predictor is totally inaccurate? wait wait. How does he even have a shot next cycle?? I'm not trying to be a douche but doesn't he have almost no shot at top 50? I wish you well, actually, I hope you do get the school you hope for, I was just under the impression that is a super duper longshot.

Agreed, definitely less accurate. I'd still say retake, but that's just my two cents.

Re: AA Male 2.9 160
What? He has no shot at a T50? OP listen... I've told AA males time and time again, with numbers similar to yours, to aim high when applying to law school.
Ask this guy what options he has next fall:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 9&t=136212
Another AA male had a 3.0/158 and got UVA ED. Will it be difficult for you to achieve your goal with a sub-3.0 GPA? Yes. I'll give the posters above that. Impossible? No. Do not listen to these people who tell you that you have no shot at a T20 with your numbers. You do. I have other examples of AA males with similar, and even lower, numbers (LSAT anyway) who got T20. Feel free to search for them if you want. Go for it.

there are many URMs who have gotten T20 with those numbers. and I believe there has been 1 or 2 that have gotten NU. 0 percent chance was a bold statement. nice try though. keep feeding people bullshit. I'm sure they appreciate it.mez06 wrote:And how would I exactly be misinformed? Please elaborate. Idiots. Please don't give advice when you have not the slightest fact driven clue or have not at the minimum done a bit of digging.rocon7383 wrote:wait wait. How does he even have a shot next cycle?? 3.0 160 AA...in at Wash U and a couple top 50s. Though significant WE
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/nochance2013
3.0 159..in at a top 50 at WL at several higher ranks.
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/Oban
2.9 159 in at WashU and a top 50
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/uncchica
3.0 160 In at several top 50s
And at that, a few of the above examples are Hispanic. Now don't feel secure that you can land a WashU with your stats bc its still very up in the air with you teetering. Point being, you can get into a top 50 school. And when I suggested a 23-30 school, I was referring to IUB and MAYBE (big unlikely maybe) UIUC. Either way, adding a couple of points to your LSAT will keep your cycle from being a shot in the dark and give you more certainty around getting into many top 50s and some higher ranks.

First of, you're an idiot. You forgot to mention that these NU examples you speak of require the prerequisite of significant work experience, EinsteinFuManChusco wrote:there are many URMs who have gotten T20 with those numbers. and I believe there has been 1 or 2 that have gotten NU. 0 percent chance was a bold statement. nice try though. keep feeding people bullshit. idiot? you're a pretentious douche. I wasn't giving advice, nor did I at any time tell him that I KNEW he couldn't get in. I also did not do any digging, as I stated, I was simply basing my information off of the impressions I had gotten from this forum as well as in the real world. In fact my entire post was founded on asking questions, not making declarations. But I guess reading is not your strongest quality.mez06 wrote:Idiots. Flame? If not, T50 is possible. T14, very low chance. T20, ummm, you gotta write one HELL of a personal statement.mez06 wrote:Idiots. Yeah..many many many numbers behind the decimal

Dude you cant call someone an idiot when you cannot type, try to pay attention. Also you write very poorly. Is English your second language? If not pay attention when trying to make fun of someone.
OP: Your chances at a T14 are almost zero (even despite the color of your skin). Honestly, your numbers are not even close to T14 caliber, your GPA should be about 1.0 higher, or 5 or so more points on the LSAT. Then you would have a chance. I dont know how you end up with a 2.9, I am going to assume laziness so as to not call you an idiot, but dont let your past work ethic kill your future. Re-take the LSAT (study hard first) and get a 165+ and you will easily be in at a T14. You are very lucky to have the chance at T14 schools with those kind of low numbers, dont let it go to waste.
If you decide against re-taking, I would say find a strong regional school in your area and go there.

Re: AA Male 2.9 160
I think OP stopped paying attention to the thread. If not, you should apply to 10-20 next year, and try to get a higher LSAT because of the $ it could make you. However, given current stats, T20 is definitely possible
