So I just got my LSAT score in: 177. I have a 3.73 in mathematics, with minors in music and economics, from a good state school, plus an M. Ed., which I've been using to teach high school math for a year.
From looking at the calculators, graphs, predictors, etc., I seem to be fairly probable for CCN and below, but is my GPA too low for HYS? It seems that Harvard might be a little more forgiving than the other two from the admissions data, but my GPA is still below 25%ile.
Are my LSAT and softs significant enough to make a difference, or is a 3.73 too low to overcome for a non-URM for HYS?

Any other softs that would separate you from the pack?

Most of my extracurriculars in college were band (marching/athletic) related, but it was a pretty demanding/time-consuming band and I had a number of leadership positions in its associated fraternity.
These are probably pretty unusual, but will they help?

Number wise your in about as good of shape as anyone could hope to be in. My gut instinct is that Harvard is not out of the question for you. Focus on putting together a solid app and let it ride.

You have a pretty good shot at H, but no guarantee.MrMathy wrote:So I just got my LSAT score in: 177. I have a 3.73 in mathematics, with minors in music and economics, from a good state school, plus an M. Ed., which I've been using to teach high school math for a year.

To echo from above, H is your best chance. I would say that you have a pretty good shot at H, considering that you have some strong work experience. Best of luck.
