Hypothetical question...considering a public law school
I'm located in NJ and I'm studying criminal justice at Rutgers. I will be done with my undergrad in about three semesters. My plan is to apply to a few public law schools, but I would really like to go to Rutgers Newark or Rutgers Camden. Realistically my GPA should be better than a 3.0 when I graduate...but if it is in the area of a 3.0 and I get a worthy (not a 170) score on my LSAT...do you think this is a realistic approach?

easily...both Rutgers-N and Rutgers-C accept applicants with sub-3.0 gpas who have solid LSATS [and I mean in the mid 160s]

Anything sub-170 is categorically unworthy. Sorry, OP.

You have a hypothetical GPA and an imaginary LSAT score. Sorry if it sounds immature, but once again, this thread is useless. Come back with real numbers.mgpalmer wrote:Thank you dshirs32 for being mature and answering a serious question.

Assuming your GPA is currently around 3.0ish, you could still aim higher. Kill the LSAT and look at some splitter friendly schools.
Best thing you could do would be to work for 2-3 years, kill the LSAT, and ED to Northwestern.

ED to UVA....no, wait, Northwestern....no, wait, retake....no, wait....fuck it.
It doesn't matter right now anyway. Get real numbers and come back.
