GPA seems a bit low for Georgetown. If you have work experience, try NU. If not, maybe UVA ED? I mean, GULC is a possibility but I wouldn't say that it's likely.

this. start with the better schools and work your way down - you can probably get UVA/Mich/NU with that LSAT, which all offer better job prospects than GULC

edit: NU with work experience. will you be taking at least a year off from UG? if so, i'd go with NU ED. amazing firm placement stats, badass big city.

Yeah most schools seem to be instituting a hard 3.0 floor. OP is on the cusp so I think it is at least worth it though it seems like the only consistent places in the T14 for 170+/3.0- splitters are NU with work experience and GULC part time.

You're being too generous. No chance I get Michigan or UVa OOS. I feel like GULC is my best bet...especially if I interview and tell the dean I'll attend if admitted (giving up all my leverage, I guess, but getting me into a t14).

it is my understanding that this is changing next year, switching will be on a case-by-case basis and much harder to do than it currently is.

if switching pt/ft is something you're considering, i'd suggest asking about it first.

I'm a 0L, but i do know some admits in the previous classes that have had sub 3 gpas.

Gulc is cutting the part time class from 120 to 80ish beginning this cycle and I think pt admissions is getting more difficult as a result. My guess is that they are looking for a group of ~80 who want to stay part time for all 4 years.

I just used that example bc I know panda got in with 170/2.99, but surely there are other cases? UVA is certainly worth the shot.

Not necessarily true. Just because GULC is ranked lower doesn't mean it's your best chance for admission. You never know how/why an adcomm will like something about your app.

I also think NU would be your best bet with WE (though I personally was held with a ~3.4 and 170 and two years WE, many others were accepted with similar numbers).

While your maxim is true, in this instance it is not.

GULC PT is definitely OP's best shot (as they are most forgiving to sub 3's compared to Mich/Va). However, because OP is borderline I think it is definitely worth it to at least go for the triple dip ED as there is a decent, though small, chance at those schools.

FTR, with the 168 OP currently has i would not bother applying ED to any of these schools. Not worth the app fee unless you retake and get 170+.

uhhh, your LSAT is a 168? that's about as far away from a 171 as a 160 as far as t14 is concerned when your GPA isn't even 3.0. i feel betrayed
